Thanks to Erica, our family has a priceless video record of our mom’s life. Created as a 100th birthday present, the Cinetoast video is now a family heirloom, because she died just six months after her birthday celebration. Now, we celebrate her memory and watch the video on her birthday and at other special family times. Hearing her describe in her own words the family photos on her table and listening to her voice messages captured in the Cinetoast video never fails to bring tears to our eyes and warmth to our hearts. The movie is an Oscar-worthy documentary of her life, and something which started as a gift to her (and boy, did it bring her joy!) has turned out to be a gift to all the generations in our family now and we expect long into the future.

As our school celebrated its Centennial year, we reached out to Erica to create a special video highlighting the depth of creative talent among four decades of alumni in the entertainment industry. She was brilliant — sourcing and selecting content and weaving together a final product that showcased more than twenty of our alumni actors, writers, producers, directors, musicians, journalists, and comedians. It was a joyful addition to our festivities throughout the year.

From an uncurated wealth of family photos, Erica created on video the story of our lives. Our request for the Cinetoast was pretty much last-minute, allowing much less than Erica’s usual timetable. Nevertheless, the finished product was superb and delivered on time.

Erica gently guided our photo selection process to allow her to develop a comprehensive and seamless narrative of our family’s history. She made sure that family members and close friends were well represented. She applied similar skill and attention to the music, incorporating songs we suggested while making sure that they were coordinated with the visuals.
